About us
The Dorval 55+ Voyageurs is a volunteer, non-profit organization, founded by Roly Charland and a group of dedicated people in 1988. It was incorporated in Quebec in 1989 and is affiliated with the City of Dorval. A Board of Directors meets regularly to organize trips, taking our member's suggestions into consideration. We are on the move year around with day, overnight, overseas trips and cruises. An Annual General Meeting is held every November at the Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre. All members and those interested in becoming members are invited to attend. At this time, we also elect new committee members to replace those who have completed their mandate. Residents may also register for the coming year at this meeting. OUR PURPOSE/MISSION: To organize interesting trips and events in order to improve the quality of life and leisure time of our members. These affordable day trips for citizens 55 years old and older are a chance to visit beautiful sites, attend various plays and visit tourist attractions in Quebec and Ontario and socialize with fellow travellers. We also organize longer trips or cruises within and outside Canada. As well, we usually have two lunches for members each year. Our annual membership is approximately 260 and is made up of 80% Dorval residents and 20% of non-residents. Membership in the club is $5 for Dorval residents; this $5 fee may extend to a family or a couple. It is $10 for residents who wish to receive bulletins via Canada Post. Non-residents of Dorval pay $20, and may receive their bulletins by mail or email. All residents 55 years and over are welcome to join. © , Club Dorval 55+ Voyageurs
