About us

The Dorval 55+ Voyageurs is a volunteer, non-profit organization, founded by Roly Charland and a group of dedicated people in 1988. It was incorporated in Quebec in 1989 and is affiliated with the City of Dorval.

A Board of Directors meets regularly to organize trips, taking our member's suggestions into consideration. We are on the move year around with day, overnight, overseas trips and cruises.

An Annual General Meeting is held every November at the Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre. All members and those interested in becoming members are invited to attend. At this time, we also elect new committee members to replace those who have completed their mandate. Residents may also register for the coming year at this meeting.

OUR PURPOSE/MISSION:

To improve the quality of life and leisure time of members by organizing interesting trips.

Those affordable day trips for citizens 55 years old and older are a chance to visit beautiful sites, attend various plays and various tourist attractions in Quebec and Ontario and socialize with fellow travellers.

We also organize longer trips or cruises outside Canada at least once a year.

Our annual membership is approximately 400 and is made up of 80% Dorval residents and 20 % of non-residents.

Membership in the club is $10 for residents and $20 for non-residents of Dorval and includes home delivery of monthly bulletins or they can be sent by e-mail.

All residents 55 years and over are welcome to join.
